Lukáš Najdekr obtained his PhD in medical genetics after studying biochemistry at the Palacký University in Olomouc (Czech Republic). During his PhD, he interned at the University of Barcelona (Spain) and Thermo Fisher Scientific (CA, USA). After PhD, he moved to Rick Dunn’s Metabolomics Group at the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom), where he also participated as a lecturer at the Birmingham Metabolomics Training Centre (BMTC). Nowadays, he is back at his alma mater as a head of the Metabolomics Core Facility at the Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine, Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic). His research focuses on clinical metabolomics and lipidomics, the application of LCMS, and their potential applications in medicine.
