Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to the lecture by Tatiana Mečiarová called "Testing the Apaf-1 Biosensor: Expectations, Experiments, and Experimental Errors". The lecture will be on Wednesday June 18, 2025 at 9AM in the room 1.09 at IMTM.
Abstract
Apoptotic Protease-Activating Factor-1 (Apaf-1) is a central component of the intrinsic apoptosis pathway, acting as a key adaptor that facilitates the formation of the apoptosome. This presentation focuses on testing a previously designed whole-cell luminescent biosensor intended to detect early-stage apoptosis using a split firefly luciferase system—and explores the challenges encountered in the process.
